Description: Tonight the topic dealt with the good and bad SF movies and television series we've watched. Some of the movies discussed were 2001, BLADE RUNNER, BRAZIL, HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY, CLOSE ENCOUNTERS, MILLENIUM, GHOST IN THE MACHINE, and ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES. After kicking around a lot more movies, we moved onto the SF television series we loved and hated. Some of these were "The Jetsons", "Twilight Zone", "Outer Limits", and the "Star Trek series (original, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and of course, Voyager). The general concensus of the group was that Captain Janaway does not seem real enough. Many members said she was annoying. There was a good round of debate as to whether or not the series will last and some cute jokes made about the series also. After kicking Star Trek: Voyager around for awhile, we got back on to the movies and this carried over until the end of the chat. A great time as we all learned about some new SF movies to rent at our local video stores. :)
